The connection to a service that is secured secured with SSL/TLS (https://) takes up to 10 seconds.
When establishing a connection to a site secured with SSL/TLS, some browsers verify the sites certificates for revocation by querying the issuing certificate authority.
When the connection to the revocation list is not possible, for example due to a firewall, the connection is held for about 10 seconds until a timeout is triggered
Ensure that browsers that verify certificates against revocation lists are able to connect to the certificate authorities in question
when using a secured connection and a browser that verifies certificate revocations.
