Slow response working with WebDAV resources on Windows Vista or Windows 7

Summary
Slow WebDAV response may appear using Microsoft Windows Vista or Microsoft Windows 7 if "Automatically detect settings" is enabled in the Internet Exporer proxy settings.

Information
When Auto-Proxy detection is enabled, Internet Explorer waits for the detection timeout for each WebDAV request. This will slow down the WebDAV response.
Solution
In Internet Explorer, go to Tools / Internet Options , select the Connections tab and click LAN settings .
De-select the option Automatically detect settings .
