Internet Explorer 11: Modal Dialog not working (Fabasoft Installer)

Summary

Due to an issue introduced by a recent Microsoft Internet Explorer update some modal dialog elements, used during a Fabasoft Setup, may not work correctly.

Information

An issue was introduced with the MS14-080: Cumulative security update for Internet Explorer: December 9, 2014 that leads to some modal dialog options no longer working on systems using the Internet Explorer 11. Due to the fact that the Fabasoft Setup for Windows systems is using some of these modal dialog elements, it is possible that interface elements in the Fabasoft Setup are no longer responsive. This may lead to situations where the Fabasoft Setup cannot be completed.

Solution

Even though there is a specific patch available for this issue we recommend you install the update MS15-009: Description of the security update for Internet Explorer: February 10, 2015 , if you experience any of the issues described in this article.
